The original photographs for this work have been subtly revised so that photographic details are easy to recognize, but fine, abstracted so that they fit well into the overall composition. The customer's image requests, a portrait of Sissi + Franz, Fuschl Palace, Schönbrunn Palace and a photograph of Verona were integrated into the overall ensemble and arranged so that the photographs formed the basis in the image structure, the foundation in the lower third of the image and symbolically in the upper one Part of the transition to the symbolic Sissi + Franz figures. Behind it, monochrome fragments of Verona photography keep peeking out. Sissi and Franz are intentionally arranged a little out of the center of the picture, in between, a soft, orderly color element in pink has been introduced, which symbolizes protection and order. In general, a lot of painterly pictures were made for this picture and these were inserted into the composition step by step. Luminous colors, pastel tones and slightly muted colors in the architecture pictures - which are otherwise too "heavy" - alternate and are well balanced. Spray painting, water and enamel colors, charcoal and chalk pens as well as decollages and poster fragments create a good depth in the picture and provide exciting details and create beautiful accents.

Thank you Nicole and Christian for letting me create this picture for you.

The submitted photograph was painted over, retouched, color adjusted and brought into an overall harmony. Gradually, watercolors were used to create colored areas that appear in the picture covered and discovered history 182 and then brought them into harmony layer by layer with the revised photograph. Yellow tones and blue tones form the initial contrast and result in green in the middle, which gently rounds off the composition. A few purple and pink tones counteract the composition above the Gloriette. Symbolically for this romantic spot, a fragmentary, slightly open heart was inserted into the composition, which forms the bracket to the classical work on the far right. On the side of St. Stephen's Cathedral, an Art Nouveau ornament from the Wiener Werkstätten was suggested and supplemented with a free, upward-facing drawing that curves around the tower. Stronger enamel colors and spray paintings were added to create additional depth. The Ferris wheel at the top right is supposed to give the composition a lightness and closes in the line of vision at the bottom left with the girl and the mother's arm. Raster and spray dots, drops of water color as well as a few décollages and free chalk work in light and dark finished this work.

Thank you for letting me create this picture for you.

I made this commissioned work for a customer from Vienna for Christmas last year.

The transmitted photo was revised analogously to give the picture a painterly input. Then the background was applied in color and supplemented with earth tones, soft structures and soft spray paintings. In the next step, somewhat stronger structures, drawings and painterly elements were added to the composition. Personal wishes of the customer, an orchid - bottom left, grapes - top right and the word social (written in chalk) in the middle right were integrated. Many other structural elements from torn posters, drawings, scratches, watercolors, marker drawings complete the composition and make it multi-layered.

Thank you Nina for this wonderful job!

I did the commissioned work for the company "Carlo Gavazzi" in Switzerland. The initial image was the company's logo.

In the search for forms, I tried to connect the graphic, geometric structure of the logo with the style of the Suprematism. Then I contrasted clear lines and surfaces with free forms and fragments of collages, decollages, spray paintings and drawings in order to create tension. This idea was continued and condensed with macro shots of image fragments and abstract image points that result in a grid. A technical drawing by Leonardo da Vinci from the Codex Madrid is woven from an abstract drawing by Wassily Kandinsky. I added further graphic symbolism in the form of typography and characters that are appropriate for me to the subject of "Switzerland".

Thank you Mr. W. for allowing me to implement this picture for you!

I made this portrait for a family in Klosterneuburg - Austria.

I tried to overdraw the family portrait finely and overlay it with different layers. On the one hand, the same color tones were abstracted, but a photo-realistic representation was retained. Then I started mixing and building up the background for the picture. They are muted and pastel colors that convey a soft and velvety style. I then paint over these basic tones to create complexity and depth. After that I integrated 4 wishes (Elephant, Sydney Opera House, Golden Gate Bridge and Great Wall of China) into the picture according to their connotations. Different lines and different grid points, tags, collages, acrylic and water colors, pencil and felt pen drawings create a coherent whole.

Thank you for the opportunity to implement the picture for you!

commissioned artwork

GK-CA-K-2020.jpg

A commissioned artwork for an enthusiastic cyclist.
Material: photo paper mounted under acrylic glass, framed
Dimensions: 80 x 60 cm

The image structure:

First I retouched and painted over the original image (a photograph), abstracted and joined colored areas. Then I looked for shapes, lines and colors. I integrated these into the picture by using stencils, spray paintings, acrylic and water colors. Again and again I came across lines that symbolize the "way". At the top right are fragments of two wheel rims, at the bottom right a stencil of a cyclist. I have inserted fragments of numbers and the cyclist is highlighted with the color orange, symbolizing strength and activity.
Further fragments of tags, décollages and collages complete and condense the image structure.
Basically the composition is dynamic, wild, rich in contrast and colorful.

This commissioned work is a picture for a widower of his deceased wife.
I felt honored to be able to create a memorial picture.

With bright colors I tried to create a kind of light image, something spiritual in a modern style with my technique from a transmitted photo. Warm, darker earth tones at the bottom of the picture contrast with light, pastel shades of color in the top of the picture. Furthermore I tried to build up structure and layers with coarse and fine brushstrokes and superimposed these with fragmentary spray paintings and scratches.

It is what it is.
A moment photographed to commemorate a bygone time.
Everything you can imagine is real.
The spirit lives!

Thank you Mister A.R.!
